Gumdrop the Dog Becomes First Pit Bull to Be Adopted in Denver After Repeal of Decades-Long Breed Ban

Denver, CO – A 3-year-old dog from an animal shelter in Denver has made history after becoming the first pit bull in the city to be adopted in over 30 years.

Gumdrop, the grey-and-white pup that was adopted on Tuesday is the first pit bull to be adopted in Denver since 1989, when a ban on the dog breed was put in place.
