CLEVELAND, OH -Meet Picasso, Northeast Ohio’s newest puppy sensation, on a mission to become a life-changing service dog.
Picasso, a Labrador puppy, arrived in Northeast Ohio on October 30th after a cross-country flight from California to begin his service dog training. He was warmly welcomed at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport by a team from Canine Companions, a nonprofit that trains service dogs for people with disabilities and veterans with PTSD at no cost.
Picasso’s puppy raiser, Vicki Simons, will guide him through the next 18 months of training, focusing on basic obedience and socialization. Picasso is already working on potty training, learning to sit, and socializing in public. Follow his progress on Ready Pet GO! as he learns new skills.
