MADISON, WI – A chihuahua-dachshund mix named Darcy was safely reunited with her owner after falling into a hole under a southwest Madison home’s porch.
The incident occurred around 11:20 a.m. when Darcy crawled into a 1-foot wide, 2-foot deep hole. Madison firefighters took turns crawling under the porch to rescue her, and despite the challenge, they successfully retrieved the dog.
Darcy was unharmed, and her owner thanked the firefighters for their efforts.
