JENKS, OK – In a heartwarming turn of events, Andrew Sylvester was reunited with his beloved dog, Bear, after a month-long search.
On December 7, Sylvester joyfully found Bear at a pet adoption event in Jenks, Oklahoma. He had been searching for Bear since Halloween when the dog went missing while he was at the store. During that time, Jenks Police discovered Bear tied to a tree with a note that read, “Find a nice home.”
The reunion occurred when Sylvester attended the adoption event and recognized Bear immediately upon entering the enclosure. He described the moment as an “early Christmas gift,” noting that despite Bear being a bit skittish initially, he quickly recognized his owner.
The staff at Jenks Animal Welfare offered to help Sylvester get Bear microchipped to prevent future separations and encouraged others with lost pets not to give up hope and to check local shelters regularly.
