Salt Lake City, UT – The Utah Hockey Club has introduced Archie, a 13-week-old black Labrador retriever, as its official team dog.
Over the next 14-16 months, Archie will socialize with staff, players, and fans, learning basic commands before undergoing formal training at America’s VetDogs campus in New York. Afterward, he’ll be matched with a veteran or first responder in need of a service dog.
Archie made his debut at the “22 in 22 Challenge” event and will appear at games and community events. The program, funded by donations, provides service dogs at no cost to recipients, supporting veterans, first responders, and the team community.
