GARLAND, TX – A Sachse family was reunited with their dog this week after it was rescued from a creek on Thursday.
Bubba the dog went missing from his Sachse home for several days before being found and rescued from Rowlett Creek, miles away, by a golfer.
The Garland Fire Department retrieved him from the creek after Garland Animal Services couldn’t reach him.
Thanks to Bubba’s collar and tags, his owner was quickly contacted, and Bubba was reunited with Landry the next day.
Despite searching for days, Landry, the owner of Bubba, was shocked and relieved to receive the news, as Bubba had traveled about 5 to 6 miles from home and is usually afraid of water. Landry expressed deep gratitude to the rescuers.
