New Orleans, LA -Scrim, a scruffy white Terrier, has become a local legend in New Orleans due to his repeated escapes and ongoing search for safety.
Rescued twice this year by Michelle Cheramie of Zeus’ Rescues, Scrim first ran away in April, spending months on the streets where he was shot twice. After being found in October and receiving medical treatment, he quickly escaped again in November, leaping from a second-story window.
Cheramie is back on the search, driving the streets daily with a rescue van, dart rifles, and net guns. She’s also set up cameras to track his movements and recently confirmed he’s still alive. Cheramie hopes to bring Scrim home for good by Thanksgiving, though his exact whereabouts remain a mystery. The community continues to support her efforts to rescue the elusive dog.
Scrim the rescue dog, already twice rescued this year, doesn’t seem to know what’s good for him. His knack for escaping helping hands and his elusiveness has led him to go viral. Earlier this month, he jumped 13 feet out of a second-story screened window in the home of the woman… pic.twitter.com/76fql1MK4C
