ABILENE, Texas – A 4-week-old puppy is safe after Abilene firefighters freed him from a water pipe in the backyard of a South Abilene home.
The puppy, who firefighters said looked healthy, was believed to have been trapped in the pipe for about 45 minutes.
Firefighters worked for about 30 minutes digging up dirt and cutting the pipe.
