Bettendorf, IA – The Bettendorf Police Department honored K9 Ringo as he retired after nearly nine years of service.
Ringo, the longest-serving K9 officer in the Quad Cities, joined the force on March 14, 2016, and worked in narcotics detection, tracking, suspect apprehension, and article searches.
Over his career, Ringo completed more than 600 deployments, contributing to numerous arrests, seizures of drugs and firearms, and large cash confiscations. He will now enjoy a retirement as a regular dog with his family. A retirement and 10th birthday party was held in his honor by the department.
