Rebecca Barcy, who always has her dog Jasper by her side, was thankful for his presence during a severe storm in northeast Scottsdale.
As the weather worsened, Jasper blocked her from re-entering her office, guiding her to stay in the hallway. Moments later, a roof tile crashed through her office window and onto her desk, covering it and Jasper’s bed with glass shards.
Barcy felt profoundly grateful, believing Jasper’s instinctive actions saved her from harm. She reflects on how animals often sense danger and believes Jasper, whom she rescued as a puppy, was protecting her in return.
