Will Rogers World Airport gives special send-off for detection canine Tyson

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Friday marked a special occasion at Will Rogers World Airport as TSA detection canine Tyson is hanging up his hat and heading into retirement.

Tyson has only been at the Oklahoma City airport for a year, but his eight years of service has spanned coast to coast to make sure people across the country are safe. His eight years of service included deployments nationwide, ensuring safety at major events like the Super Bowl and the Indy 500.

Tyson and his handler, Fred Miller, trained together at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and have worked across numerous locations, including Vegas, Minneapolis, and Houston. To honor Tyson’s service, TSA and airport staff threw tennis balls for him to play with and presented him with a special cake.
