PULLMAN, Wash. – The beloved “WSU ambassadog” is reaching out to the dog lovers’ community after receiving an unfortunate health diagnosis.
Dash, a WSU celebrity dog with over 65,000 followers on Instagram, was diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia in November. A malignant tumor was found on Dash’s spleen and removed by WSU vet surgeons.
When the 13-year-old golden retriever went in for his most recent chemotherapy appointment, doctors unfortunately found a new tumor that also now has to be removed.
The procedure for the tumor removal costs $7,000 – $9,000 and Dash needs the communities support and help to get the treatment he needs.
