Man Creates Realistic Robotic Dog To Comfort People With Alzheimer’s Just Like A Real Dog

A robot dog under development in California is vying to be a best friend to people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, offering comfort by responding to human touch with life-like motions.

As seeing the struggles that a person with a degenerative disease like Alzheimer’s goes through daily, Thomas Stevens started to develop Tombot, a super realistic robot dog with full-body sensors that can respond to sound, touch, and even wag its tail.
